Bone Marrow Donor Match

Transplants are often the only way to save a child’s life. However, finding a bone marrow donor match can be very challenging.

Using National and International databases of potential bone marrow donors throughout the world, the NCLF can match a person in need of a bone marrow transplant with a possible bone marrow source.  The international data base searches for a compatible bone marrow transplant donor.

Even if a bone marrow donor is found, there is still a long journey to the successful bone marrow transplant. The National Children’s Leukemia Foundation hopes  to improve the painful, often costly and frustrating search for a compatible donor by enabling patients to access  this technologically sophisticated data base registry.
