BONE MARROW RESEARCH

The National Children's Leukemia Foundation has access to a computerized database of potential bone marrow donors throughout the world.

Through this database, NCLF can match a person in need of a bone marrow transplant with a possible bone marrow source. The database searches for a compatible bone marrow transplant donor and is updated daily.

Even if a bone marrow donor is found, there is still a long journey to the successful bone marrow transplant. NCLF's hope is to improve the painful, often costly and frustrating search with this technological aid.
